I absolutely agree. The Canon IXUS range has some truly amazing little features which make it possibly the best value-for-money point and shoot range I’ve ever seen.

Go out shooting and play with all the features you can find.

Personally I am very much into the hands on approach of trying all the different options on a camera yourself rather than going through the manual or tutorials.

Just find an interesting subject to take pictures of and experiment away taking lots of pictures and make sure you look at the bad pictures as well as the good ones to see what you did wrong - but most of all don’t try too hard and try and enjoy it too…

Wow, that’s some very cool photography you’ve got going there.. I think I’m going to have to start playing a bit more with my camera, to see if I can be so artistic!
Any suggestions, for a good place to learn more about understanding all the settings and options, on a digital camera?

Man, these are awesome! I have the IXUS 70 and I’m more than happy with that camera’s macro ability… I love just snapping macro shots of really wierd stuff like knives and forks because you get really interesting reflections.
